Technical SEO
Technical SEO makes sure search engines can find and understand every important page. A single wrong line in robots.txt can hide whole sections.
Controlling crawling
robots.txt: crawler access, for example excluding internal search or filters
XML sitemaps: all indexable pages with last-modified dates, generated from the CMS
Status codes: 200 for valid pages, 301 for redirects, 404 or 410 for removed content
Controlling indexing
Canonical tags mark the authoritative URL among similar pages. The noindex meta tag keeps the basket, thank-you pages and similar pages out of the index. If robots.txt blocks a page, Google never sees its noindex. Search Console shows which pages are indexed and why others are missing.
Page speed and rendering
Good Core Web Vitals improve page experience. Content generated by JavaScript must render reliably for search engines, so we use server-side rendering wherever content matters for search.
Approach
We crawl the website, analyse log files and Search Console, and rank errors by impact. Fixes go centrally into templates or server configuration where possible. In Statamic and Laravel projects, sitemaps, canonicals and clean status codes are built in from day one. Automated deployment tests stop any block from going live.
