Maintainable web architecture
A sound web architecture keeps running costs down and supports growth, new requirements and updates for years.
Background
A poor platform choice or unclear data flow means complex updates, slow pages or an early rebuild. Our advice is product-neutral and follows your needs, budget and existing systems.
Scaling
We separate application, data and delivery so each layer can grow on its own. Caching and a CDN absorb traffic peaks. Docker containers make environments reproducible and ease moves to other hosts or the cloud.
Extensibility
Clear modules with defined interfaces
API-first, so new channels connect without a rebuild
Headless, when several applications use the same content
Microservices only for separate scaling or separate teams
Choice of technology
The base is widely used open-source software with long-term support: Laravel, Statamic, PostgreSQL or MySQL, and Redis. That limits vendor lock-in. For hosting, we weigh managed hosting in Germany against cloud platforms. Deciding factors are data protection, uptime, cost and your IT team's skills.
Maintenance and operations
Updates to frameworks and runtimes are planned in. Monitoring, backups and documentation are part of the design. We record key decisions in architecture notes, so the system stays manageable when the team changes.
