Web applications and portals with log-in
Customer portals move requests from phone and email into the browser and relieve your service team.
Background
In a portal, customers download documents, submit requests or track orders whenever it suits them. Because this involves personal data, security and data protection are part of the core design.
Multi-tenancy
Many portals serve several organisations, sites or partners. Multi-tenancy keeps their data safely apart, and each tenant has its own users, roles and settings. New tenants are added without coding, and updates reach all of them at once.
Security and data protection
Two-factor authentication and passkeys
Roles and permissions down to record level
Encryption in transit and at rest
EU hosting and GDPR data processing agreements
For PlanetHome, we built a customer area with two-factor log-in to German BSI guidelines. It has passed several pen tests.
Integrations and usability
We connect ERP, CRM, document management and single sign-on via OpenID Connect or SAML. Monitored queues keep the portal working if one system fails. Plain language, few steps and accessibility to WCAG 2.2 AA mean fewer queries.
Approach
We start with the key use cases and an early first version. More functions follow in stages, ranked by benefit and effort. The usual base is Laravel with Svelte or Vue.js.
Operation and availability
Monitoring reports outages, errors and slow responses automatically. Updates go live without downtime. Response times and maintenance windows can be fixed in the contract. Regular backups and a tested recovery plan limit the risk.
