Usability testing
Usability testing shows where your interface holds real users up as they work through real tasks.
Background
Real users work through typical tasks while we watch where they hesitate or get stuck. This exposes blind spots the team itself no longer sees. A problem caught in a prototype costs a fraction of a later fix.
Methods
Moderated: a moderator sets tasks and asks why a problem occurs.
Unmoderated: participants work alone while the session is recorded.
Remote: users across Germany take part in their usual surroundings.
On site: for devices, kiosks or sensitive content.
Timing and scope
We test wireframes and prototypes before development, and existing websites before a redesign or when figures flag a problem. Several small rounds usually reveal more than one large one.
Approach
Agree goals, audiences and realistic tasks.
Recruit suitable participants or involve your customers.
Run the sessions and record them with consent.
Rank findings by severity and frequency and set out next steps.
Outcome
You receive a report with prioritised findings, video clips and recommendations. A further round shows whether the changes work.
